Job Title: Rutland - Wound and Ostomy RN

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM

Certification: Must have Wound Care Certification

Position Summary:

The Wound and Ostomy Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized care to patients with wound and ostomy needs, working collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care and patient education.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with NYS license.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Wound and Ostomy Certification preferred.

Preferred Certificate:

• CWOCN
• WOCNCB
• CWCN
• CWS
• WCC

Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration:

Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with patients, families, healthcare colleagues, and other disciplines.

Communicate patient needs clearly and coordinate care across departments.

Provide detailed patient and family education during inpatient stays and at discharge, adhering to prescribed teaching plans.

Respond appropriately to verbal and non-verbal communication from patients, families, colleagues, and healthcare leadership.
