Job Overview: Radiation Oncology Nurses are critical members of the healthcare team, providing expert medical care to patients undergoing treatment for cancer. As part of the radiation oncology team, these nurses work closely with physicians, physicists, radiation therapists, and other healthcare team members to provide the highest level of care. Radiation Oncology Nurses are responsible for assessing patient needs, providing patient education and support, administering medication, providing supportive care during and after radiation treatments, and managing potential side effects and complications of radiation therapy.
Qualifications
Trinitas Regional Medical Center is a full-service healthcare facility serving those living and working in Eastern and Central Union counties. The hospital was established in January 2000, following the consolidation of St. Elizabeth Hospital and Elizabeth General Medical Center. Our Elizabeth, NJ hospital operates on two major campuses. Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN License or approved RN license required
- ASN or BSN required
- AHA BLS prior to start date required
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in Oncology is required
